What to know
Women who are pregnant or nursing should not complete any electrolysis services.
Clients should not tan 2 weeks prior to appointment. Not sun tanning, booth tanning, spray tanning, this is to keep every appointment consistent to the last. If the client comes in with spray tan, they will leave “blotchy” because we add ultrasound gel and wipe the client down after every service. Booth tanning and sun tanning makes the client hyper sensitive.
Facial Laser Hair Removal, any client on medical grade topicals should not only get a dermatologist note, but also needs to stop product anywhere from 2-6 weeks prior to starting Laser treatment or they will have side effects that could be permanent.
Clients with PCOS MUST be on some type of hormone regulator prior to Laser treatment. This is to avoid wasting the clients time and money, PCOS is an overgrowth of hair due to abnormal hormones, totally normal but we want to be sure clients have this regulated while seeking laser treatment.
